Altered candlesticks

Hello!

Today I'm blogging another altering project I made with decoupage - candlesticks! I loved making these, they were black from the beginning and I used a couple of layers with gesso, before using a sponge to dot white acrylic on to make a structure. It turned out great! The candlesticks really got a beautiful structure and it was so easy to use decoupage on them after. I used mod podge for all the layers and it worked perfect. Here they are!

Thank you for stopping by, happy crafting! :)

LOVE (Decoupage)

Hello!

Today I am blogging a very different project from what I usually do - cards. I have recently moved and decided to decorate my home in a shabby chic style and wanted to do most of the decorations myself by using decoupage! This is my very first project and I am so happy about it! It was sooo relaxing doing it and it wasn't hard at all ;) Plus the gorgeous result shows immediately!

Here's the letters in wood I made decoupage on. I put them in the window in my bathroom, thought my bathroom needed a little love ;)

I bought the letters about 3 years ago from Jotex and cleaned them before applying the decoupage glue. Since they were white already I didn't have to paint them. The napkins are from the brand "Sagen Vintage Design".

A final photo!

Thank you for stopping by, hope you have a happy crafting time! :)

Lizzie with gift (DT Make it Crafty)

Hello!

Today's DT card is with a gorgeous stamp called Lizzie with gift, that you can find here. :)

Here's the card!

And here's cute and sweet Lizzie with gift. I have coloured her with Distress Ink pads and put some Frantage Enamel Shabby Pink around the image. I have also used Platinum stickles on the edges of the image.

Distress Ink pads used:
Hair: Scattered Straw, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain
Face and skin: Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick (Eyes: Vintage Photo)
Dress, bows and socks: Distress Marker: Picked Raspberry
Shoes: Black Sooth
Gift: Chipped Sapphire

Here's a Magnolia heart tag cut with K Designs gorgeous paper, and I bought a beautiful creased silk fabric that I have ripped to make a bow of. I have put on two Christmassy charms, a Christmas tree and a bell.

The flower arrangement... I have put on some white acrylic paint on all the flowers and also Crystal stickles. The white swirl is cut with a Craft Too die and I have sprayed Perfect Pearl mist on it to make it shimmer.

Here's an embellishment I made myself, I used a piece of paper from Maja Design's Vintage Frost Basics paper collection, a glass cabochon and a cameo and just glued it all together :) Very easy! The blue paper is from K Designs Cold Winter collection.

Here's the inside, I have cut the card shape and the inside papers with a Go Kreate die, Large Frame Frilly #5. The pink paper is the same as on the Magnolia heart tag.

I hope you like this card, I had a lot of fun making it and I LOVE gorgeous Lizzie with gift, you can use her for Birthday cards as well ;)

Thanks for stopping by and take care!

Circus Trixie (Saturated Canary)

Hiii!!! Long time no see! I have had a lot to do with my move and I can't tell you how GOOD it feels to be in place and finally be able to craft again! Have switched mediums since the last time and started colouring with Copics! LOVE it. I have been jealous of all the talents in the world that master Copics and I thought, hmm, one day it's my turn and that day turned out to be sooner than later! :D I am also taking a Copic class over at www.kitandclowder.ning.com and I just love it.

This is my card!
The stamp is a digi from Saturated Canary, Circus Trixie and I have coloured her with Copics :P

Here are the colour combos I used in this order:
Hair: E29, E25, E21
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Clothes: RV99, RV95, RV93, RV91, R89, R85, R83, R81

The flowers are from both WOC and different stores on Aliexpress.com. The lamp post is a new die from Magnolia called Love Lamp Post. The heart border is a die from Lalaland Crafts called Heart Doily Border die. The card's shape is made with a GoKreate Large Frilly#5 die. I have used papers from Maja Design's new collection Coffee in the Arbour and used Inka Gold Rosequarts on almost everything :) I also put some Crystal stickles on the flowers and a little gesso. The butterfly in clay is made with a Martha Stewart mold and also the MS clay :) Inked with Inka Gold Rosequartz. The gorgeous pearl ribbon lace is from LLC.

A last photo!

I have to say that I loved colouring this image with Copics and her curls were the reason I took the class to begin with. I wanted to be able to colour strokes and make it look like almost real hair. I love the class and would recommend it to anyone that would love to improve their colouring! :) You can find it over here.

Happy crafting!! :)
