My very first mixed media canvas!!

Hello everyone!

Today I want to show you something different that I have been working on for a couple of days (on and off) - my very first mixed media canvas!!! I am sooooooo amazed by this art form and I just love it! Of course it had to be purple and pink, they are my favourite colours :) But I decided to make it interesting and added a vibrant turquoise to it as well and I love the result :)

I have used many dies for this project, a full list will follow below. I started my project making die-cuts with craft foam and then I decided how I wanted the layout to look like. I also cut the big butterfly swirl with my new Silhouette Cameo three times and glued it together to make it more of a home made chipboard.

Then I used different stencils and some modeling paste to give the canvas some structure. I painted all the die-cuts and charms and clay embellishments with white gesso.

When all the pieces were glued to the canvas I started having fun with Dylusions Ink sprays and I actually also used an Adirondack Wash colour, Plum to make the purple edges as dark as I could get them.

When I was happy with the colours on the canvas I started having fun with different Inka Gold mediums! When dry I used stickles over some of the areas because I looove glitter!

Finally I decided to used some more sparkle, I used Diamond dust by Twinklings to cover my handmade roses and to be honest the photo doesn't quite show the real beauty of it, but I really like the structure it gives!

Dies used:
Spellbinders Shapeabilities In'spire Die Dream catcher
Memorybox Antique Gear Set dies
Magnolia Heart Swirl die
Magnolia leaf die
Lalaland Crafts Hot Air Balloon die
Marianne Design Craftables Clock die
Cheery Lynn Lock and keys 3 dies
Memorybox Vintage bicycle die

Dylusions Inks used:
Bubblegum
Vibrant Turquoise
Funky Fuschia
Crushed grapes

Inka Golds used:
Magenta
Rosequartz
Turquoise
Hydragea
Platinum
Old Silver

I was SO inspired by this talented girl Gabrielle Pollacco and would like to give credit to her for the inspiration! Here's a link to her video that inspired me and made me take the step and do my very first canvas :)

Honey with balloons (Saturated Canary)

Hello and hi again!
Today I want to share a new card I made... It's a special one, because I have been feeling a little mojo-less lately and this card feels like me wooohooo! :)

I coloured up this gorgeous stamp by Saturated Canary a while back, and I was SO happy with how she turned out.. Now she finally is on a card!

Here's my card!!

I have coloured the image with Copics:

Skin: E04, 11, 21 00, 000, R22, 20
Hair: E29, 25, 21
Shirt and socks: G99, YG25, 23, 03, 21
Skirt: RV69, 09, 06, 04, 00
Boots: Y17, 15, 11, 000
Bunny: C7, 5, 3, 1

I have stamped the image with a Stempelglede stamp from the lovely Vintage Garden stamp set, with Memento Ink Rose Bud. I have added these gorgeous sequins all over the image and the card and that is definitely a new favourite embellishment of mine!

The card's shape is cut out with a cutting file from the Silhouette Studio store - YES! I have actually invested in a Silhouette, can you believe it! :D I must say I was very disappointed at first, but now we are becoming real friends ;)

I have had a lot of fun working with my die-cuts on this card.. The hot air balloon embossed die-cut by Lalaland Crafts is inked with Inka Gold RoseQuartz.
The Magnolia Heart swirl is sprayed with Dylusions ink and then Perfect Pearl Pear to make it shimmer! Love the kind of water colour effect I got on that one!
I also inked the leaves made with another Magnolia die with Inka Gold Mint Green.

The balloons are stamped with Versamark ink and then I pour different Perfect Pearl powder over it. When dry I sprayed some Color Bloom spray over it and it got a very interesting texture, it almost look heat embossed!

And finally, the butterfly.. Ah.. A new die I bought on Fristadsträffen, a scrap crop that was my very first one! The dies is by Spellbinders and just gorgeous!! I stamped the butterfly die-cuts with Versamark ink and used sticky embossing powder, before I poured over some pink embossing glitter and heated again with my heat gun. LOVE the outcome on those two!!

The gorgeous design paper is by Inkido, the Swedish design paper brand that had to close down last year.. I TOTALLY love these papers but gotta use them carefully lol! :)

Hope you liked this one, it's kind of my favourite card lately!

Happy craftin'!
xoxo Madeleine

Miss Sassy by A Random Fan yellow and pink card!

Hi!!
A while ago I made this spring like card in yellow and pink and today I want to share it with you!

I have played a lot with my new coloured embossing powders and stamped different patterns and used white, yellow and pink embossing powder :) it was great and I am totally in love with stamping and heat embossing!

Here's my card! I have stamped a beautiful sentiment by Stempelglede with Versamark ink and poured some pink pastel embossing powder over it and heated it, and it got very pale, but IRL you can see it better :) It says Take Care! You're Special to me.

I treasure your friendship CAS card

Hi!!

Soo... it seems as I have turned into a CAS cardmaking gal!! It's sooo much fun and I totally love the outcome of it :) Here's another CAS card I made for a dear friend of mine, it's actually a guy but I decided to go pastel on this one, why be traditional?! :)

Here's my card! I have used design paper from the gorgeous Madeleine collection by Bo Bunny and just sprayed some Color Bloom Pearl over it, my new favourite thing! Why not make things shiny when you CAN, right? :D

I have also been using Sparkle Medium, another one of my favourite techniques right now, over a stencil and then I cut out the heart shaped glittery paper. I used a gorgeous friendship stamp by Stempelglede that says "I treasure your friendship" and stamped it with Versamark Ink on Vellum paper and poured white embossing powder over it, before heating it. LOVE vellum!!

Well, that's about it! Here's the card :)

I think friends are the most important thing in the world, because they are the family we choose. I feel very lucky and fortunate to have such gorgeous people in my life that I have and my friends are just the absolute best!

Take some time and send someone you love and treasure a card - I'm sure they will appreciate it! :)

Happy crafting!

A Purple Friendship card

Hi!

I have done another CAS card and made my own background with Dylusions Ink sprays! I am sooo in love with them! I have used Bubble gum, Fuschia and Crushed Grape Dylusions Ink sprays to make a background. I also used Color Bloom Pearl spray to make it shimmer.

Then I have used a stencil, put on Versamark Ink and poured white embossing powder and heated it. Love the imperfect pattern, looks handmade which it is! :D

I decided to use a purple ribbon and got stuck when I had put two down in form of a cross... Got some help in a Swedish fb group and got inspired to make some kind of a flower instead of a simple bow which I had plan to at first :)

Then I stamped the sentiment with Ditress Ink Seedless Preserves and put some Perfect Pearl powder over it and voilà! Card is done! Such a simple card to make and I had so much fun making it! :D

Thanks for stopping by! :D

Happy Crafting!

Big congratulations with Dylusions and Sparkle Medium

Hellooo!

I have been having sooo much fun creating this card! I have been shopping new stencils and decided I just HAD to have Dylusions ink sprays!

I have just sprayed Dylusions Ink London Blue and some Color Bloom Pearl Spray to make it shimmer :) I then used two different stencils and Sparkle Medium Turquoise to make the hearts and butterfly over the splattered colour :)

The sentiment is in Swedish and means big congratulations and I have stamped it with Memento Teal Zeal and then put on some Perfect Pearl Turquoise over it to make it shimmer and that's about it! :D

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy crafting :)
